Anniversary Celebrations

St. John the Evangelist: Each February we celebrate World Marriage Day with a special Mass which includes a renewal of vows and marriage blessing. Join us at any Mass on Saturday or Sunday, February 11 or 12, 2011.

Diocese of Gary: Couples celebrating their 25th, 50th and over 50 year wedding anniversaries in the calendar year are invited to attend the Diocesan Anniversary Mass and Reception on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 4 PM at Cathedral of the Holy Angels in Gary. Offsite Conferences

Indiana Catholic Women's Conference: The women of SJE and their guests make the annual roadtrip to Indianapolis for a day of holy inspiration and spiritual rejuvenation. Past women's speakers have been Teresa Tomeo, Johnette Benkovic, Rosalind Moss, and Fr. Emmerich Vogt. Mass, reconciliation and benediction are scheduled as well.

The 2012 conference will be scheduled for September 2012. Check the conference website for details and speaker bios.

Indiana Catholic Men's Conference: Just like the ladies, each year a group of men travel to Indianapolis for a day of fellowship and fraternity. Guest speakers have been individuals such as Fr. Larry Richards, Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput, and Mark Hart - the Bible Geek. Mass, reconciliation and benediction are also offered.

The 2012 conference is scheduled for Saturday, October 20th. Cost is $45 per person and includes box lunch. . Check the conference website for details and speaker bios. Carpool will depart SJE's Day Chapel at 4:45 AM and return the same evening.

Holy Family Catholic Conference: An annual conference presented by St. Patrick, St. Joan of Arc and the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana featuring two days of family friendly entertainment and programming. Dr. Ray Guarendi and Patti Schneier are examples of recent guest speakers. The 2012 conference will be held in May in Kokomo, Indiana. Visit the conference website for details.

Catholic Familyland - Holy Family Fests: Four fests are scheduled for 2012 in June, July and August. The fests are held annually at Holy Family Park near Steubenville, Ohio. Visit the Familyland website for details.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter

Worldwide Marriage Encounter is a ministry devoted to renewal in the church and change in the world. WWME offers a weekend experience designed to give married couples the opportunity to learn a technique of loving communication that they can use for the rest of their lives.
