Men's Club
The
Men's Club is a social organization open to all men of the parish (21
and older) with the purpose of encouraging and strengthening brotherhood
in Christ through sponsorship and participation in religious and social
activities and service projects.
Sylvester Reising Stewardship Award
The Men's Club annually proudly recognizes the contributions to the Parish and the community of a deserving member of the Parish by bestowing upon her or him the prestigious Sylvester Reising Stewardship Award. Past recipients include Sylvester Reising, Florence Strong, Helen Rutkowski, Jim Thiel, Keith Burke, and Dr. Allen Smith.

Opportunities to Get Involved
Through its activities and meetings on the first Thursday of each month, the Men's Club sponsors and participates in religious and social activities and service projects that benefit the members of St. John the Evangelist Parish and the community, for example:
- Purchase of monogrammed bibles for graduating high school senior Liturgical Ministers
- Participation in Our Lady of the New Millennium statue installation
- Christmas gifts for SJE School Teachers and Staff Members
- Support of “Father Bob’s Annual Block Party”
- Financial support for Cub Scout Religious Medals
- Sponsorship of the annual Sylvester Reising Stewardship Award
- Sponsorship of Sunday Night Men’s Basketball
- Monthly meetings with speakers and social activities
- SJE Parish Festival set up, tear down, and gaming tent chairmanship
- Sponsorship of St John Boys’ Baseball and Girls’ Softball Teams
- Subsidizing the purchase of equipment and needed services for SJE School
- Shrine of Christ's Passion Prayer Trail Adopt-A-Station #9
- Annual Men’s Club Golf Outing
- Members and spouses annual “Night Out at the Track” at Balmoral Race Track
- Annual Pancake Breakfast

How to Volunteer
The Men's Club meets on the first Thursday of each month. All male parishioners , 21 years of age or older, are welcome to attend and become involved in the mission and activities of the Club. Please view the Parish Bulletin, or visit the online parish calendar for meeting locations and times.
