St. John the Evangelist's sixth season of their Laudate Concert Series runs through June 2015. We look forward to having you join us for this year of magnificent sacred music!

"Christmas Lights Up the Darkness"
Sunday, January 4th

Now that we are celebrating the Octave of Christmas, all the pressure of getting the cookies baked, the presents wrapped and getting to all the parties has passed and we Christians get to relax and enjoy the season of our Lord-God-Made-Flesh… heaven’s Love reaching down to the earth! So, it’s the perfect time for one more present – the gift of music offered by our St. John the Evangelist Music Ministry.

We will present “Christmas Lights Up the Darkness” this coming Sunday January 4th (the Feast of Epiphany) at 3:00 p.m. in the Church. Bring your friends and family to just sit and enjoy the sounds of the season as the choir and children, organ, brass and the band intertwine with solo voices singing of the greatest gift ever given. Remember those folks that you keep meaning to get together with and do something? …this is the concert to bring them to!

We look forward to seeing you again this Sunday! A free will offering will be accepted in support of the Laudate Concert Series

Become a Patron

We try to keep as many of our concerts as "free will offering" events so that as many people as possible can attend. However, we rely on you, our patrons and lovers of sacred and classical music to truly consider what you might be able to give so that we can continue to bring in quality artists and continue the outreach of our SJE music ministry. One of our recent concert-goers asked afterwards "Who are the wonderful people who pay for us to be able to come to these concerts?" She was very surprised when I replied "you are!" Yes, the Concert Series is self-funded. Please prayerfully consider becoming an annual patron today... your place of employment may even offer matching grants.
