Arrangements for Parishioners planning to be married must be made at least six months in advance of your wedding day and BEFORE you book any facilities or halls. Call the Parish office for more information.

Sacramental Preparation

The Church encourages and assists those who have decided to be married in the Church to prepare for the Sacrament of Matrimony. The St. John the Evangelist marriage preparation program is administered by our Catholic Family Institute using a program called "One in Christ" which emphasizes the fundamental belief that it takes three to get married: husband, wife, and God.

Couples are required to attend the "One in Christ" seminar weekend before their wedding day. The program is held on a Saturday and Sunday from approximately 8 AM to 4 PM each day. Additionally, a blessing is given to attending couples at the 7:30 AM Mass on Sunday prior to the beginning of the Sunday session.

Marriage preparation sessions are scheduled twice a year:

• Saturday and Sunday, January 21-22, 2012
• Saturday and Sunday, July 21-22, 2012
• Saturday and Sunday, January 19-20, 2013
• Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, 2013
