Individually, members of St. John the Evangelist's faculty and staff are called, chosen, and committed to the total education of the students of St. John the Evangelist. Together, they strive to provide an environment favorable to generate excellence in the school and for the academic, moral and spiritual achievement of the students.

The implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) recognized the importance of teacher quality relative to student achievement. NCLB requires that elementary school teachers be highly qualified to teach basic elementary school curricula; junior high, and secondary middle school teachers must be highly qualified to teach each core academic subject in which they are the primary instructor, with core subjects defined as English, reading or language arts, mathematics, science, foreign languages, civics and government, economics, history, geography and fine arts. All of St. John the Evangelist School's faculty is deemed highly qualified as evidenced by credentials, course work, professional experience, and related activities.

"I really like the approach to Jesus in the students' school day, through the curriculum and interaction with their classmates and with other students in the hallways and on the playground. That's the most vital part of Catholic schools, incorporating Jesus into our students' everyday lives." ...Former Second Grade Teacher, Mrs. P. Bach
