A Joy-Filled Journey Through Our Christmas Masses

Celebrate Christmas with Us: Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Masses

Christmas at our parish is one of those sacred times when the building itself seems to breathe with joy. Each Mass carries its own beauty, its own rhythm, and its own way of drawing us closer to the heart of Christ. Together, they form a vibrant tapestry of worship, one that celebrates the miracle of God stepping into our world.

4:00 PM Christmas Eve – Our Family Mass

The celebration begins long before the first note is sung. Families pour into church early, little ones bundled in Christmas outfits, parents smiling with equal parts pride and anticipation. The Children’s Choir gathers near the front, their voices bright and eager as they fill the church with carols that melt even the coldest December night. Seating is tight, but it always works.

There's something beautiful about everyone squeezing in, side by side, as if the whole space itself expands with the generosity of Christmas. When the opening strains of O Come, All Ye Faithful ring out, the entire church rises with a shared thrill. Father welcomes every guest and visitor with the warmth of someone greeting family. His homily has become a beloved tradition: children gather around him on the floor and steps of the altar while he reads a Christmas story. Their wide eyes and soft giggles remind all of us that wonder is alive and well—and that Christ comes to each of us with the gentleness of a child.

10:00 PM Christmas Eve – A Quiet, Glowing Reverence

As the night deepens, the pace slows. The 10 PM Mass used to be our Midnight Mass, and though the time has shifted, the sense of sacred stillness remains. Families come straight from Christmas Eve dinners, dressed up and unhurried. Kids in pajamas snuggle into pews, some determined to stay awake, others surrendering to a quick nap under the twinkling lights. The tradition of Midnight Mass has deep roots in our faith. Dating back many centuries, the Church kept vigil late into the night, honoring the moment when “the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.” It echoes the shepherds watching over their flocks and the quiet expectancy of a world waiting for its Savior. Even at 10 PM, that sense of holy waiting lingers. It's a Mass filled with peaceful reverence...soft but full, quiet but overflowing with gratitude.

9:00 AM Christmas Day – The Dawn of Hope

Then comes Christmas morning. A new day. A new light. A Savior born. The 9 AM Mass carries the calm joy of Christmas itself. Sunlight breaks across the Nativity scene, hymns ring out in steady confidence, and the focus shifts from anticipation to fulfillment. Today is the day Christ enters our world in the flesh—the day heaven touches earth. Families arrive rested and smiling, the frenzy of Christmas Eve behind them. It’s a Mass that celebrates not just the birth of Jesus long ago, but His ongoing presence in our lives today.

Three Masses. One Miracle.

Whether you join us in the bustling joy of the Family Mass, the quiet glow of the late-night celebration, or the peaceful beauty of Christmas morning, you are part of this holy story.Christ is born. Hope has arrived. And together, we rejoice.
