What is a Parish Mission, and Why Should You Attend? 🌟

Have you ever felt a restless ache in your heart — a yearning for something more? More purpose, more connection, more life? You’re not alone. Throughout the centuries, Christians have gathered together for parish missions — special times of renewal and deep encounter with God. These missions are like a spiritual “reset,” offering us a chance to step away from our busy lives and dive into the power of the Holy Spirit. And that is what we’re bringing to SJE!

Our Pentecost Mission with Chris Bray: A Journey to the Heart of Pentecost ✨

This year, we’re blessed to welcome Chris Bray (www.chrisbraymusic.com), a gifted speaker and musician, to lead our Pentecost Mission. Over three powerful sessions, Chris will guide us on a journey of encounter, transformation, and mission. Here’s what we can expect:

📅 Thursday, June 5th | 6:30-8:30 pm

Session 1: “What Must We Do?” – Encountering Christ and the Gifts of the SpiritWhy do we always feel like there’s something missing? From the first Pentecost to today, our hearts long for a love and purpose only Christ can satisfy. In this session, we’ll discover how the Gifts of the Holy Spirit — given to us through baptism and confirmation — are not just extras for “super Christians,” but God’s personal invitation to each of us.

Session 2: “He Makes All Things New” – Transformation and the Fruits of the Spirit

Locked away in fear, the apostles were transformed by the Holy Spirit’s fire. This night is all about how God wants to do the same for us: to set our hearts ablaze and change us from within. Through powerful stories from scripture and the lives of the saints, we’ll see how living the Gifts of the Spirit bears the beautiful Fruits of the Spirit — charity, joy, peace, and so much more.

📅 Saturday, June 7th | 9-11 am

Session 3: “Go!” – Commissioned for Mission with the Charisms of the Spirit

Pentecost wasn’t the end — it was the beginning. You’re not just called to personal renewal, but to go out and share the Good News. In this final session, Chris will help us see how the charisms of the Spirit are God’s gifts in us, meant to build up His Kingdom. It’s time to be empowered, equipped, and sent! Sent out as Disciples Who Make Disciples!

🌿 Special Moments of Adoration 🌿 To make this mission even more powerful, we’ll have adoration during the Thursday and Friday sessions — a chance to be still and let God’s presence speak to your heart.
